Only £25 The : Beach Hippie Look 07/30/2011
The : Beach Hippie Look Time it took us: 2 minutes Works best on: · Medium or long hair · Unwashed, dry, slept-on hair Stuff to have handy: · Large open clips pins · 1-inch curling tongs · Shine spray · System Professional Light-hold hairspray How to: Step 1 Flip hair over and lightly spray hairspray on underside. Flip upright and spray on the top. Finger-tousle as it dries. Step 2 Gather your fringe-hair area and clip it out of the way so you can style the rest of your hair first. Step 3 Curl 1-inch sections (away from your face). Start wrapping your hair around the iron at ear level, not above. And leave your ends out of the curling iron. Step 4 Unclip the fringe section and curl as you did the rest of your hair. Step 5 Insert spread fingers into hair at the nape of your neck. Shake your hair (but do not run fingers through) to make the curls messy. Step 6 Now pin back a piece of hair on each side of your parting . (Remember, messy = good.) Secure them together with a clip or pin and mist with shine spray. Pin curl twist 07/30/2011
Pin Curl Twist Time it took us: 5 minutes Works on: · Medium or long hair · Works better on unwashed hair, ( two or three days after washing ) Stuff to have handy: · Bobby pins · Hairspray How to: Step 1 Brush out a 2-inch-wide front/fringe section and secure back with two bobby pins. Loosen a bit with your fingers by tugging at the hairline. Step 2 Now you're left with a section of hair over each ear. Run your index finger from behind your left ear up to the crown of your head. Smooth this section of hair into a low ponytail behind your left ear then twist the pony twice toward the back of your head. Secure the remaining tail with bobby pins, then repeat on the right side. Connect the two twists with a bobby pin. Step 3 And that leaves the always fashionable "mullet" at the nape of your neck. You can leave it like that. We're all done. Step 4 Just kidding. Back to the mullet. Hold your left index and middle finger under the bobby pins in Step 2, and roll a messy 1-inch section of hair up around your fingers to create a coil. Pinch it, slip it off your fingers and secure with a bobby pin. Don't attach it to the twists in Step 2 or you'll pull them out. Repeat with remaining hair until it's all pinned up. Step 5 Mist with System Professional hairspray. Side sweep Bun 07/30/2011

Messy is fine; we're about to cover it up anyway. Step 3 Un-clip the front section and smooth it back over the teased area, gathering all your hair into a low pony. Reserve a one-inch section of your longest hair and secure the rest with an elastic. Step 4 Wrap the reserved hair around the hair elastic and secure underneath with a bobby pin. Simple or chic..whichever you need we can design Which Face shape are you ????? 07/30/2011
Raise your hand if you know what shape your face is (and, subsequently, what kind of haircut or makeup you should wear.) If your hand remains firmly planted by your side, you're not alone. Many beauty articles promise the "best haircut for your face shape" or pledge that "your heart-shaped face will look best with such and such eyebrow arch," which all sounds really encouraging -- until you realize that you haven't the foggiest idea of whether your face is a heart or a square or even a hexagon for that matter. Here at Powercutzz our stylists are all trained to not only identify your face shape but to find you the best style for your face shape. In the meantime Let's say that we solve that little dilemma right now, shall we? Figuring out your face shape (and, best haircut) is really not that complicated (or scary), all you need is a mirror, a steady hand, a critical eye and your basic school knowledge of fundamental shapes. So, what do you say? Are you ready to unlock the mystery of your face shape once and for all and begin to reap the haircut and makeup benefits that finally knowing it will surely bring???? How to identify your face shape Now, we could get all technical and have you fetch a measuring tape and a graphing calculator but, in the interest of keeping things simple (and, dare we say it, fun), let's do away with the math for now and focus on tracing shapes. Deal? Here's the simple way to do it. The next time you get out of the shower, look at your reflection and, using your finger, trace the shape of your face into the steam on the mirror. (Note: If you can't wait and just want to do it now! you can also trace your face onto a non-steamy mirror using an old eyeliner or lip pencil.) Next: Ask yourself these questions to figure out your shape. Which shape are you? Once you've drawn your face, step back, observe and ask yourself these questions: 1. Is my face as wide as it is long with the widest part occurring at the ears? (If yes, you have a ROUND face.) 2. Is my face longer than it is wide? Is it long and slender with a narrow chin or high forehead? (If yes, you have an OBLONG/RECTANGULAR face.) 3. Are my forehead and cheekbones wide but my jaw narrow? (If yes, you have a HEART-shaped face.) 4. Is my forehead the same width as my jaw line and is my jaw prominent? Is my hairline squared? (If yes, you have a SQUARE face.) 5. Is my jaw line wider than my forehead? (If yes, you have a DIAMOND face.) 6. Is my face approximately twice as long as it is wide? Is it only slightly narrower at the jaw than at the temples? Is my hairline rounded? (If yes, then you have an OVAL face.) OK, now that you have an idea as to what shape your face is, let's hit the point home a little more by looking at some celebs who share your shape -- and discuss some of the most flattering hair and makeup things you can do for it. Watch this space for lots of tips for each face shape ...coming over the next few days xxx Which face shape are you ???? Make your Pony tails rock !!! 07/30/2011
If you're like us, your hair spends most of its time in a ponytail. We know, we know, you just can't help it. But instead of telling you to totally break out of this rut (OK, OK, we will suggest you do this on occasion, just not today), we thought we'd help you graduate this hairstyle staple to the next logical look: the side pony. It's amazing how shifting your pony three or four measly inches to the left or right can totally up the fun and sexy factor of this classic updo. This is likely why celebrities are bringing back this whimsical 'do in a big way -- it's a great way to put a flirtatious spin on an old classic. And ... it's so easy and versatile. You can create a more romantic ponytail by adding flowing waves or keep it sleek and sexy with slicked-back straight strands. Celebrities like Lauren Conrad, Molly Sims and more have been experimenting with various takes on this hairstyle at red carpet events and casual affairs -- see their looks here. While you peruse these photos and get inspired to secure your pony off-kilter, you'll also learn key tricks on how you can copy these celebrity hairstyles to a tee for your big date night out or casual Sunday shopping excursion. Taylor Swift This romantic, curly side pony is super sweet on Swift and one of her signature looks. Recreate the style by securing your hair to the side with a clear elastic. Next, curl the pony with a 3/4-inch curling iron. To keep curls touchable but intact, spritz hair with light-hold hairspray like System Professional. Lauren Conrad Lauren Conrad hearts the side pony and wears it often, likely because her straight hair looks super shiny and sexy in this easy updo. To get shine like Lauren's, spritz your brush with a silicone-based shine spray (try Milkshake gloss) and swipe through hair. Molly Sims Sims' style combines two hip looks (the side pony and the face-framing braid) in one. To get this look, create a deep side part and start French braiding the front 2 inches of your hair until you near your ear. Secure the braid with a clear elastic and bobby pin it into place behind your ear. Finish by sweeping the rest of your hair into a low side pony. Need more help with the braid?...contact Powercutzz and have the look recreated for £9.95 with our Kelly. | Elaine SagarElaine is an award winning Hairdresser who has won national awards in all apects of hairdressing and quality.Elaine is still a consultant at Powercutzz and spends many hours writing articles for both ourselves and editorials.
