Powercutzz was founded in 1998 by Award winning Artistic Director Elaine Sagar. Elaine relocated to Dukinfield after a succesfull career in hairdressing in London . Having worked for many of the large companies in the City Elaine became a City and Guild trainer delivering advanced cutting and colouring courses on a day release basis to students from many of the large city salons including Toni and Guy ,Trevor Sorbie and many more.

Elaine spent the 90s competing at all levels in Hairdressing competition work and was succesfull in receiving many accolades for her work in the Commercial industry and in Avant Garde .



Elaine insisted that Powercutzz Hair Studio was to deliver a level of service you would expect to receive at a top city salon. All of our stylists are trained to an advanced level, not only in the latest styling techniques but also in the use of products by leading manufacturers such as, Wella, L'Oreal and GHD. The GHD range is available in selective salons across the UK. Powercutzz are pleased to anounce that our salon has been approved to supply and use these specialist products.

To maintain our standards of customer care, we may ask you to test your hair prior to certain treatments. This allows us to determine whether the proposed treatments are compatible and also to ensure that the condition of your hair is never compromised. We also request that you undergo a skin test 24/48 hours before any colour application.

Elaine is still very much involved in the salon and although appointments with Elaine are very difficult to come by , she still has a waiting list and is sought after from clients worldwide.


Elaine keeps a hands on approach wiht all her stylists and often attends training sessions to ensure they are kpet up to the level of service nd technical skills she expects all her clients to receive
